Description
Experience the timeless charm of Kotpad handloom fabric, a heritage craft from Kotpad, Odisha, known for its exquisite natural dyeing and weaving traditions. This fabric is handwoven from 100% pure cotton yarn and naturally dyed using Aul (Indian Madder) — a dye extracted from the root bark of the Aul tree. The process yields a deep reddish maroon (mehroon) hue that symbolizes richness, warmth, and authenticity.
Every piece is dyed and woven by skilled tribal artisans using age-old, eco-friendly techniques passed down through generations. The Aul dye is completely natural, ensuring that the fabric is non-toxic, sustainable, and highly colorfast to washing.
